(Filed Under Financial and General Interest News). Tia Lyn and her husband Kevin filed for a long anticipated Chapter 7 bankruptcy on October 2, 2009 listing about 30 creditors. Under U.S. Bankruptcy Code, a chapter 7 bankruptcy does not involve a plan for repayment. Instead the bankruptcy trustee gathers and sells the debtors’ nonexempt assets and uses the proceeds to pay creditors. According to the U.S Bankruptcy Court website, Chapter 7 “is used primarily by individuals who wish to free themselves of debt simply and inexpensively, but may also be used by businesses that wish to liquidate and terminate their business.”
Case number 3-09-16764-rdm, which was filed in the Western District of Wisconsin, lists as debtors: Kevin Anthony Lyn, Tamara Lou Lyn, aka, Tamara Lou Godfrey-Lyn, fdba Tia Lyn Lingerie LLC, fka Tamara Lou Godfrey.
A list of creditors was obtained from Tia Lyn’s attorneys, Von Briesen & Roper, which included the following: Aerobeep & Voicemail Services; Apex Financial Management LLC.; Applied Bank/Bankcard Center; Associated Recovery Systems; Atlantic Credit & Finance Inc.; Bank of America; Baraboo National Bank; Capital One Bank USA N.A.; Capital One Services; Chase; Chiquoine & Molberg, S.C.; Dean/St. Mary’s; Evler Hermes U.M.A.; Fashion Market Magazine Group; HSBC Card Services/Direct Merchants Bank; Hilco Receivables LLC.; Klauber Brothers Inc.; Nelnet; Northland Group; Professional Recovery Services; Sauk Co.
