(Filed Under wholesale Shapewear News). Julie France plans to add between three and five new styles to its bodyshapers line, including men’s shapers, a new category for the company. The styles will premier in the company’s next-annual catalog, which will come out in January 2010. Although she is not yet able to release details on the individual styles, Emily Wyche, executive account manager for the company, called them “very novel. We really haven’t seen anything else like them on the market.”
As in past catalogs, the January 2010 catalog will also include many of the same styles as seen in previous years. “We don’t discontinue many products because they are functional garments, rather, we add to styles and collections to offer our customers more variety,” Wyche explained.
“The new pieces are based on customer and store feedback on what they are looking for. They will be a similar construction as our current line with seamless microfiber and compression panels, but re-vamped to target new areas of the body.”
The company has not yet set pricing or sizing for the catalog; however, Wyche said that pricing will remain in moderate. Julie France shapewear wholesales for $18 to $29.75, and retails for approximately $30 to $60. The brand’s full range of sizing is XS to 3X.
The company decided to add men’s shapewear—a growing trend in the shapewear industry—due to requests. “It turns out men need shapewear too,” Wyche commented.
Julie France shapewear can be found on e-commerce sites including ClassicShapewear.com, BlackCatPlus.com and LaurenSilva.com, as well as specialty boutiques nationwide.
Julie France is owned by dance and activewear wholesaler, Eurotard. For further information, call the company’s Alpharetta’s, GA. office: (800) 222-0026, or e-mail Wyche at Emily@JulieFrance.com.
