(Filed Under Fashion News). Victoria's Secret opened a new store on Tuesday, December 2 at 722 Lexington Avenue and 58th Street in New York City. The company has described this store as: "Its most glamorous and luxurious store ever. It offers an unparalleled shopping experience in an atmosphere of pure luxury."
"Glamorous, sophisticated, ultra-feminine and luxurious, this store's design is the ultimate expression of the Victoria's Secret brand," Victoria's Secret said.
The two-story, 9,000-square-foot store features a facade of "iridescent" glass panels and "vibrant" pink light portals and vitrines, with an interior decorated in the company's trademark black-and-white pattern, and photos of the Victoria's Secret Angels lining the walls. Elements unique to the store include crystal chandeliers, sheer drapery, quilted walls, and whitewashed herringbone flooring, all aimed to create an "upscale ambiance." There is also a "jewel-like box" beauty room, where costumers can create their own signature perfume from an assortment of 25 scents including florals, fruits, and spices.
In addition to the retailer's private label, the store carries the "Victoria's Secret Designer Collection" of merchandise from lingerie designers around the world. Brands included are Pleasure State from Australia, Rosanna Ansaloni from Italy, Princesse Tam Tam and Elise Anderegg from France, and Flora Nikrooz from New York. An in-house concierge provides services such as gift-wrapping, package shipping, coat and bag check, and package delivery.
Victoria's Secret, a business of the Columbus-based company Limited Brands Incorporated, has more than 1,000 lingerie and beauty stores. For more information contact Jennifer Ortiz at Limited Brands: (614) 415-7555.
