(Filed Under wholesale Basics News). Ann Deal, CEO and founder of bra and accessories powerhouse Fashion Forms, described the bandeau as key for the company this coming spring.“Based on the success of our bandeau over the last four years, we have brought back [the product] in a big way for spring 2010,” Deal commented.
As with the company’s preexisting styles, the new bandeaus will run in sizes S through XL and retail for $18 and up. The company currently offers five styles in the category including the Bandeau Bra and the Bandeau, Long Tubed, both available in shades of white, black and nude. Newly-launched styles consist of the Convertible, Infinite Options and Lace bandeaus. Unlike the basic look of the other styles, the Lace Bandeau—which the company describes as “sexy, lacy, strapless,” recommending that the customer “wear it under a jacket, low-cut top, or blouse”—offers a lingerie-inspired touch to the line. Perhaps this is a hint of a fashion-forward edge for spring.
Some benefits of Fashion Forms’ bandeaus, according to the company, is their ability to shape and support a woman with or without any underwire. Deal expects current customers Macy’s, Dillard’s and Bloomingdale’s to pick up the spring 2010 line.
