(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Baci Lingerie went live January 1st with a full version of its website (www.baci-lingerie.com) timed to the second with the start of new year. The extravagant, sexy and colorful site allows visitors to view front and back photos -- as well as a short video -- of models wearing each item in the 500-piece Baci collection. The photography for the site (and a lavish printed catalog) was done at great expense in two castles, one in France, the other in Germany.
The website offers six collections under the following headings: panties, legwear, catsuits, bikini-style, sexy dresses and sexy neglige and even includes a few costume items (plaid school girl skirts, for example).
“In developing our exclusive brand of Baci Lingerie we have always taken customer wants and desires very seriously, talking and listening to a wide variety of customers and taking their views into consideration,” explained Robert Rosen, COO of Internetmarketing-Miami, the privately-held company that owns the brand. “Over the last year we have conducted a series of informal research programs and the results have influenced the new website design and content.”
“Lingerie customers want to be able to view on-line, to see the products from all angles and see which styles are going to fit them the best. We are a successful, growing and strongly reliable company with unique ideas. We are continually innovating and improving our products and services. The new website is the natural next step.”
At present the website is designed to promote the brand but not to retail product. It includes style numbers and color variations for each item, the option of several languages, but no pricing information. Clicking the “Where to Buy” button on each item produces a “coming soon” message. In the future, Rosen noted, the company will list retailers’ contact information and will begin to sell direct to consumers. He added that the company is still in the process of making additions and improvements to the site.
Baci is timing its full product launch to coincide with the International Lingerie Show in Las Vegas in April, where it will introduce an elaborate trade show booth (earlier reported in BODY to cost $500,000). Rosen added that the company’s second collection, now in its initial stages of creation, will expand to about 700 pieces and will include more costumes.
Baci is currently finalizing relationships with retailers, reps and distributors in the U.S. According to consultant Elan Rofe, Distribution “contracts for Australia, Russia, Asia and Europe are already signed.”
“We are in a competitive market,” emphasized Rosen. “Customers rightly expect a good deal and a professional service. Baci Lingerie knows that our products are not only the very best available but also that we listen to customers views and opinions. As a result, we will continue to refine our products and services to meet their needs now and in the future.” For more information Rosen can be contacted at (786) 260-0076 or by email at info@baci-lingerie.com.
