(Filed Under wholesale Activewear News). BeBodySmart.com, a web-based vendor and retailer of fitness products including activewear for men, women and children, claims to be suing Amazon.com for illegally using the brand name BodySmart.
According to Shahzad L. Paul Ph.D, president and chief executive officer of Mobshah Group, the parent company of BeBodySmart.com, Amazon.com has continued to use the BodySmart registered trademark after the company ceased from selling on the site. He claims that when customers search for certain items on Amazon.com, the BodySmart brand appeared, which the company called misleading. Paul called this common practice for Amazon.com.
Amazon.com did not respond to requests for comment at the time of press.
