(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). For spring 2010, Chantelle is focusing on launching new fashion basics. According to Sonja Winther, president of Chantelle North America/United Kingdom, spicing up basic lingerie is what the company is known for.
“Chantelle has always been known for adding a fashion twist to basics,” Winther said. “Our key drivers last year were our new styles in this category under the Rive Gauche, C Chic and Icone lines.”
In addition to updating these 2009 lines, the company is also launching the new collections Sublime Invisible and Arte Forme, running up to 36G and 44H, respectively. Chantelle’s full range of bra sizes is 30 through 44, A through H. Retail prices for bras average at $75.
Sublime Invisible consists of a lightweight space T-shirt bra running up to a 44H, and a plunge push-up bra running up to a 36F. Arte Forme includes a soft lace bra with a three-part cup that is distinguished by offering “the most comfortable underwire,” said Winther.
“Arte Forme is made from an incredibly soft lace that gives you a hugging sensation when you are putting it on, and is so comfortable that you then forget you are wearing it for the rest of the day,” Winther continued. “It feels like you are wearing a molded underwire, yet you’re wearing a well-structured, beautiful bra.”
In the color arena, the brand’s core color for spring is denim blue, which will be seen in Rive Gauche, followed by fuchsia, which will be seen in Icone. Also seen will be light pink shading in C Chic.
French company Chantelle Group was founded in 1876. Today, the brand can found in the U.S. in upscale department stores including Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom and Bloomingdale’s, as well as specialty stores. For further information, call the company’s New York City offices at (212) 689-4735.
