(Filed Under Wholesale Swimwear News). Spanx has expanded its slimming design into a setting where a figure-flattering silhouette is of the utmost importance to many women; the beach. The company is calling its new Spanx Swimsuits line—available immediately on its website—“fashionable [and] flattering.” It encompasses 18 one-piece, swim dress, tankini and bikini styles retailing from $58 for a bikini bottom to $198 for select one-pieces. Sizes run from 4 through 16, with select suits only available up to size 14.
Styles in the line include body shaping elements like mesh compression liner to smooth the wearer’s stomach, back and love handles, as well as colors and cuts designed to visually slim her silhouette. Unlike the basic colors seen in much of Spanx Body Shaper line, styles in Spanx Swimsuits feature vibrant shades of turquoise, red and pink, as well as black, white, gray and brown. With their ruffle trims and off-the-shoulder cuts, several appear vintage-inspired.
Sara Blakely founded Spanx in 2000. For further information, call the company’s headquarters in Atlanta, GA at (404) 321-1608.
