(Filed Under Financial and General Interest News). Sales were looking up for Wolford AG this third quarter. The Austrian producer of high-end lingerie, hosiery and swimwear cited a 5.7 percent sales increase from one year ago during the period from November 2009 to January 2010. Sales at the company’s proprietary stores—which includes boutiques, shop-in-shops and factory outlets—rose 12.3 percent.
Sales grew in all of the company’s core geographic markets, including the U.S, up 16.7 percent, and Spain, up 17.8 percent. The jump in sales during the third quarter partially off-set sales during the first half-year of 2009/2010, which dropped 10.7 percent, resulting in a 4.9 percent sales decline during the first nine months of fiscal year 2009/2010.
