Roberto Cavalli’s spring/summer 2010 worldwide advertising campaign features Italian model and girlfriend of George Clooney, Elisabetta Canalis, clad in his new animal print balconette bra, panty and garter belt, paired with a feather-embellished silk robe. According to Roberto Cavalli, the affect of the campaign, which was shot by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot in London, is one of seduction and femininity, which is reflective of his upcoming collection.
“For my next collection of underwear I was inspired by a real woman, with appeal, charisma and sensuality,” he commented. “Elisabetta Canalis and I have been friends for a while now, we have already worked together in the past and so I was sure she was just perfect for enhancing the spirit of this advertising campaign […] Her Mediterrean beauty and intense appeal interpret an intriguing super-feminine woman.”
Bras in the line retail for approximately $100 to $370, while bottoms run from approximately $70 to $136.
In addition to lingerie, Roberto Cavalli also produces high-end swimwear, ready-to-wear, footwear and accessories. Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman all carry the brand.
