(Filed Under wholesale Basics News). Jockey has announced the launch of two new collections for Spring 2009: the Touch of Toning collection and the Lace Web collection.

A Touch of Toning is intended to provide women with garments that are to be worn underneath clothing to provide a comfortable smoothing result. The collection is available in the following silhouettes: shelf bra cami, bikini, hipster, hi-cut, modern brief and boy short. All styles are available in black, white and nude with a suggested retail price of $10.50 for bottoms and $26 for tops. Sizes will be available in 5 through 9 for bottoms and small through XL for tops. The garments are made with the same seam construction as the company's No Panty Line Promise collection in order to ensure invisibility.

"A Touch of Toning helps every woman make every day a special occasion," said Emily Tessendorf, a Jockey product line manager for women's merchandising. "Anyone looking for that perfect 'finishing touch' before a day at the office or a night on the town, can achieve slimming smoothness and comfortable confidence in the beautiful and breathable Touch of Toning silhouettes. Small things can, and do, make a big impression."

Also launching for Spring 2009 is Jockey's new No Panty Line Promise Lace Web with the following silhouettes: camisole, bikini, hi-cut, thong and hipster. Suggested retail prices for the bottoms are $9.50 to $11 and $16.50 to $38 for the tops. Underwear sizes run from 5 to 9 and top sizes run from small to XL. The garments are made from a Tactel nylon and a spandex blend embellished with delicate accents.

"Lace Web translates into more than just a new vision of lace. Lace is positioned often as being very sensual and intimate," said Cheri Baker, a Jockey product line manager for women's merchandising. "Lace Web takes a more refined approach and positions itself as an intriguing solution for women searching for noticeably beautiful, but equally invisible underwear. This moves the Jockey brand into a more sophisticated arena, and instead of beings seen as just sexy, Lace Web weaves a modern thread of sophistication and femininity throughout this offering."

Both collections will be available on Jockey.com beginning in Spring 2009 with the Touch of Toning collection available at retailers such as Belk's and Macy's. The Lace Web collection will be available at retailers including JCPenney and Macy's.
