(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Despite the fact that the majority of styles are for wear under clothing, French brand Lou Paris designed its fall line with ‘Prêt-à-Porter’ (ready-to-wear) fashion in mind. According to the company, this inspirations makes for “clean and flat finishes” as seen in best-seller Idole de Lou, a collection made from Leavers lace, which is inspired by the tailored suit.
Colors in the line “play with the natural elements,” with slate blue, pearl, green and silver prominent. Included are bras; panties and thongs; bustiers; garter belts; and nightdresses with the full range of sizes running from 32 to 40, A through F. Styles wholesale from $15.75 to $38.25 for panties and thongs, $33.75 to $58.50 for bras and $112.50 for a bustier, the highest-priced garment. The line’s collections will ship to stores from July 25th through August 25th, and August 25th through September 25th.
Of particular note is the Clin D’Oeil collection, which the company called “ever more in tune with Prêt-à-Porter trends.” It features a high-cut brief, shorty thong, molded cup bra and full cup bra decorated with miniature pockets and a tweed-inspired pattern. Styles come in a black, blue and white-trimmed colorway. In contrast is Lumière, which includes a demi-cup bra, T-cut underwire bra, babydoll and brief in an iridescent shade.
North American retailers carrying Lou Paris include Intimacy, Anthropologie and Bra Smyth. Timberly Davis, an associate at the Bra Smyth location at Broadway and W. 77th St. in New York City, described Lou Paris as selling well at the store.
“Both their minimizers and their fashion pieces do very well for us,” she said. “[The fashion pieces] are very delicate, soft and pretty, and fit very nicely.”
