Following up on a reported “successful debut for spring,” Kristian Giambi, founder of Brulee, has released a limited item summer 2010 collection, set to hit stores on April 30th. The collection consists of new and revamped styles from the brand’s Classic, Black and Boudoir ranges, as well as the new Vamp range. According to the company, it offers a sneak peak into the upcoming fall/winter season, when summer pieces will transition into new shades and styles. The collection retails for $36 to $220, and is available in sizes XS through XL.

New for the warm weather in the Boudoir line are teddies, camisoles and tap pants in a new “opulent” pewter tone; in Black, a teddy, camisole and short in sheer black chiffon with cream trim; and in Classic, a re-done jersey soft bra and bottom. The debuting Vamp is distinguished by its inverted stripes with alternating silk and chiffon, which the company said, “will have you channeling your femme fatale.” Included are a silk corset soft bra; bottom; teddy; chemise; camisole; and silk robe. Brulee described summer’s color palette as consisting of “wistful cream, soft pewter, rich plum and midnight black, offset by hand cast gold and Swarovski crystal hardware.”

Brulee’s website currently lists seven stores as carrying the product, including Journelle in New York City, Oh Baby Lingerie’s two Portland, OR locations and Underwear in Austin, Tex.

Elizabeth Tigar, owner and buyer of Underwear, said that she will pick up select styles from the summer collection. She commented: “We’ve had a lot of success with [Brulee]. It is a little more modern than some of the [intimate apparel] currently on the market. The silhouettes are modern and clean, and appeal to the consumer for whom ruffles and lace are not their thing. The appeal has been pretty broad, which honestly surprised me: I expected this to be for the younger girl, but the 30-something-year-old woman has gravitated toward this line.”
