(Filed Under wholesale Hosiery News). Although Seven ‘til Midnight’s initial plan was to debut its hosiery at this April’s ILS, the new category has been so popular among buyers that the company moved delivery up to March, according to Vinh Luong, director of sales and marketing for Carrie Amber, Seven ‘til Midnight’s parent company.
“The hosiery has been really fun,” said Luong. “People were asking us for hosiery because they wanted us to deliver the same kind of brand as we have been able to deliver with our lingerie and sexy costumes, [with] high-end packaging and good quality at a reasonable price point. Our goal with the hosiery is to provide a one-stop shop for our customers. For this reason, it pairs well with our lingerie and costumes.”
For the debut, the company introduced 16 “high demand” styles like fishnets and lace-tops, as well as select plus size silhouettes. Wholesale prices range from $1.25 for a sheer thigh high to $3.75 for a fishnet, V-neck bodystocking, and sizes offered are One-Size and One-Size-Queen. Styles are packaged in Seven ‘til Midnight’s signature pink polka dotted box, with plus size boxes distinguished by bigger polka dots than seen in the regular-sized packaging.
Luong reported that next year the company plans to expand beyond the classic styles into fashion pieces. “Part of our inspiration [for the hosiery] is that the ladies from the Pussycat Dolls want us to create specific pieces for their upcoming tour. This sparked our interest in more fashion pieces,” she said.
While fashion pieces will be designed with Seven ‘til Midnight’s sexy customer in mind, the company will also be targeting the mainstream market. “We are looking to expand into mainstream stores, as well as set up private label programs,” Luong explained.
