(Filed Under wholesale Men's Underwear News). Timoteo is building on a reported successful entrance into the underwear business with its new Formula One Racing-inspired underwear collection, coined Timoteo Sport. Set to ship between May 1st and May 28th, the four-piece collection includes the preexisting Super Low Brief, as well as the three new styles of the Scout Square Cut, which the company said; “borrows the basic body of our original boxer brief but features a shorter length;” the Sprinter Thong; and the Athlete New Jock Strap. Styles retail from $19 to $26. As with all of Timoteo’s underwear, they are available in sizes S through XL.
Although Sport features an aesthetic unique to the collection, styles are made with the same “high quality cotton/spandex fabric” as found in the company’s Classic and Quake groupings. Upon its inception in 2001, the company focused primarily on fashion apparel including denim, wovens and T-shirts. In 2008 it delved into the men’s underwear business by launching its signature Classic line, followed by Quake in 2009.
According to Timoteo Ocampo, creative director and co-owner of the company, Timoteo is a successful due to a combination of design elements.
“We launched our underwear business with the Classic line and it instantly became a best seller, opening doors in North America, Australia, Belgium and Spain,” he said. “It put us on the map in the underwear business and now we are here to stay. Customers fell in love with the artistic stylized waistband featuring our logo. Our Quake line [...] gave us a second style that customers wanted because they love our product. Our underwear is about style, fit and the latest color trends. We are not about gimmicks.”
