(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Maison Close is continuing down its seductive path with the launch of the Villa Caprice and Villa Bel-Ami collections, both offered exclusively in black and available in sizes S through XL. Wholesale prices run from 9.95 to 27.60 Euros; equivalent to approximately $13.48 to $37.38 at the current exchange rate.
Villa Caprice—the overtly sexy sister to the softer Villa Bel-Ami—is designed “to release the erotic potential of the female body,” according to the company, with minimalist cuts and accessories like cuffs; garter belts; hold-ups; harnesses; and bodices. Lingerie styles include the body (body suit); push-up, triangle and cupless bras; panty; and thong suspender belt.
In contrast, in designing the “tender and sweet” Villa Bel-Ami, Maison Close looked to post-war styles to create a neo-retro collection. Silhouettes are designed to shape the body while also allowing it to breathe through the use of mesh and voile fabrics. Signature styles in Villa Bel-Ami include the girdle and matching G-string, which offers both body-shaping and sensual elements, according to the company.
Along with the collections, Maison Close has also introduced several bedroom accessories including feathers, chains, pedants and massage candles.
Lola Foutrel, director of press relations for the French company, defined its target customer as a woman aged 20 to 50 “[Who wants] to feel sexy and confident […] [She] wants to share a special moment with [her] partner like a loving date, reunion or celebration of a wedding.”
She described many retail customers as “shops of a new kind: spaces with a boudoir spirit, mixing traditional lingerie, sexier [styles] and additional accessories.”
U.S. retailers carrying the brand include Journelle in New York City; Oh Baby in Portland, Ore; Intima in San Francisco; and Whatever Lola Wants in Los Angeles.
