(Filed Under wholesale Loungewear News). Brazilian swimwear brand Sweet Cacau has launched its Summer 2009 collection, entitled Cruise, on their website www.sweetcacau.com.br.

“We designed a very feminine collection with the newest trends in fabric, we used a lot of shiny materials and comfortable lycra that allows it to dry faster,” said Renata de Lucca, designer and founder of the company. “We also included a lot of metals, such as rings, which gives a very modern look.”

The collection, which has been available on the website since mid-December, consists of 18 different designs and averages at $125 with sizes ranging from small through XL.

The collection offers bikinis as well as one-piece swimsuits in several prints and colors, such as leopard print with gold accents, nautical stripes, solid metallics and surf-style floral prints. Although the prints and designs differ from one another, they are still in harmony with one another.

Founded in 2006 by de Lucca, Sweet Cacau’s philosophy is “to offer a different product with a large portfolio in order to value the woman’s body,” said the company. “After a lot of research in molds, we concluded that a woman needs technological resources to avoid uncomfortable pieces. Sweet Cacau has achieved these goals with a collection full of tricks.”

The brand currently has one selling point in the U.S. at Luciana located in Hawaii, but has plans to expand further in the U.S. in the near future.
