(Filed Under Wholesale Swimwear News). The Swim Association of Florida (SAF), the organizing company of the 28th annual SwimShow 2011, expects over 350 exhibitors representing nearly 2,000 lines from around the world to attend the four-day event. Taking place from July 17 through 20, 2010, at the Miami Beach Convention Center in South Beach, Fl., the show expects to welcome “global and iconic brands” including Diane von Furstenberg and Delfina. Other premier brands slated to exhibit are DvF; Milly Shoshanna; Roidal; and Manuel Canovas, among others.
Judy Stein, executive director of SAF, said: “We have always attracted the world’s leading brands and most significant buyers to our show. The changing economic outlook is altering global buying behavior and buyers are looking for more valuable interactions with quality brands. Our show facilitates this process by being able to offer the finest presentation of swimwear from around the world and brands realize that they are missing out on key opportunities when they don’t take advantage of showing with us.”
Building on last year’s reported success, SAF will once again host a fashion seminar at the show, featuring an analysis of the industry, as well as projections and forecasts for the upcoming season. SwimShow 2011 will also feature a runway show, “which offers a sneak peak of every participating designer collection, and is a must for anyone wanting to keep a finger on the pulse of where the industry is heading for the upcoming year.”
The company has once again partnered with the Miami Beach Visitor Convention Authority to offer perks such as negotiated rates at a range of hotels, complimentary transportation, and an on-site concierge. It is also introducing the IN-CARD, a complimentary card create by the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce for SAF members, that offers discounts on attractions, hotels, museums, nightlife and more.
