K. Bell Inks Marc Ecko

(Filed Under wholesale Socks News). K. Bell, Inc. has signed a multi-year licensing agreement with well-known fashion and lifestyle company Marc Ecko. Through the agreement, K. Bell will design, source and distribute legwear and hosiery collections under the Ecko Ultd., Eckored and Marc Ecko Cut & Sew labels. The company will debut the spring 2011 collection this August’s MAGIC show in Las Vegas. The collections will be available for a soft launch in fall 2010 at better department stores and specialty chains, as well as Marc Ecko’s MEE direct retail venues.

According to K. Bell, each collection will authentically represent the respective brands image, demographic and price points. Ecko Unltd., a men’s brand focused on global youth culture, will include core and active socks sold in multi-packs of three retailing for $15 to $18. Ekored, the female component of Ecko Unltd., will include tights and leggings retailing for $8 to 12, $6 to $8 for singles and $15 for multi-packs of three. Marc Ecko Cut & Sew will offer “re-imagined” men’s classics retailing from $8 to $10 for singles and $18 for multi-packs of three.

Greg Matson, senior vice president of sales for K. Bell, commented: “We are proud and excited to work with such iconic brands. We are looking forward to fostering the integrity and continued growth of the Marc Ecko brands.”

“We have confidence in K. Bell with their stature and history in the marketplace to successfully build the leg wear and hosiery category for our brands,” said Effy Zinkin, Esq., President Emerging Businesses and Licensing, MEE. “We are happy to be working with such an esteemed and reputable company.”
