(Filed Under Fashion News). Age Group Ltd., best known for its lingerie and sleepwear, continues to do well in the surprisingly divergent category of pet accessories, according to several sources.
The company deepened their presence in the category last October, when they signed a licensing agreement with Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc. (MSLO) to manufacture, market and sell Martha Stewart pet-care products through PetSmart, Inc., the largest retailer of pet solutions and services nationwide. The line includes apparel, collars, leashes, bedding, grooming supplies and more.
Charles Koppelman, executive chairman and principal executive officer of MSLO, commented last fall: “We see tremendous potential for MSLO in the estimated $50 billion pets market and are very pleased to begin establishing a retail presence in this category through PetSmart.”
“We’re very excited to be working with Martha Stewart and her team of designer and pet experts, pairing our product development, marketing and retail distribution knowledge and capabilities with such a trusted and influential brand,” Sarah Gerard, president of Age Group’s Pet Division, said.
Age Group Ltd. has been in business for over 25 years. The company’s 15-plus licensed properties include Hello Kitty, Disney, Roca Wear and American Tourister, among others.
