(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). In designing its spring-summer 2011 corsetry collection, which includes lingerie and loungewear pieces, Luna looked to the Greek island of Hydra’s cosmopolitan heyday of the 1960’s through 1970’s, as depicted in the film “Boy on a Dolphin,” starring a young Sophia Loren.
The company channeled this inspiration into seven groupings under the Luna Diva umbrella, titled Abstract; Virtual; Ethereal; Divine; Bellflowers; Stylish; and Habitual. The line’s average wholesale price is 32 Euros, equivalent to approximately $39 at the current exchange rate. Bras run up to size 90D or 85E, equivalent to U.S bra sizes 40C and 38D, respectively.
Signature looks include the “seductive lingerie” seen in Ethereal’s lace-garnished, jacquard padded push-up, balconet and wired balconette bras, as well as molded bustier and chemise, and matching brazilian slip, thong and boxer. All bras in this grouping feature gold and bronze center beading. In contrast is the sporty, viscose poly-elastane long top, T-shirt, wide leg pant, legging and dress seen Habitual.
In other product news, the company has introduced its spring-summer 2011 swimwear collection, titled Cycladic Chic, and characterized by styles in vibrant prints and solid colors ranging from “classy chic to bohemian,” according to the company. Wholesale prices average at 38 Euros; equivalent to approximately $46 at the current exchange rate. Sizes run from 70B to 45D, equivalent to U.S. sizes 32A through 42C.
The swimwear line is divided into the 17 groupings Paradise; Ocean; Mermaid; Pebble; Siren; Sailor; Anchor; Bubble; Aquarium; Summer; Monsoon; Lily; Sea; Dolphin; Sunshine; Mediterrean; and Island. Styles range from the “romantic flower print” seen in Siren’s triangle bikinis to the metallic bronze and pearl-embroidered suits seen in Sunshine’s bikinis.
Luna S.A. is a wholesaler based in Greece with over 1,000 points of sale throughout the country, and a presence in other countries including Italy; France; Romania; Israel; and Russia.
