(Filed Under Fashion News). Maidenform has appointed Karen M. Rose chairman of the board to succeed Thomas J. Ward, who is retiring.

Rose will continue as chairman of the company's audit committee and as a member of the compensation committee. She currently serves on the board of directors at Bare Escentuals, Inc., a public premium cosmetic company. Previously, she was chief financial officer at the Clorox Company, which she joined in 1978. At Clorox Rose occupied a number of management positions including director of finance, Household Products Company; VP and treasurer; and group VP and CFO. She has been a director at Maidenform since January 2005.
