(Filed Under Wholesale Swimwear News). Estivo will introduce its swimwear for “real women” to the U.S. market at Miami’s Swimshow 2011, scheduled for July 17-20, 2010. The Colombian company, which was founded in May 2009, is targeting its line of 60-plus bikinis and one-piece suits toward high-end stores nationwide, with a desire to land in Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom and Anthropologie. Styles run in sizes XS through L, and wholesale from $38 to $70.

Carolina Malabet, creative director of Estivo, described the label’s aesthetic as “fresh, feminine and stylish [for] all those real women that feel [they] have been forgotten in the fashion business.”

“Our brand is known because our fit is for real bodies and women,” she said. “We concentrate a lot on the body [by having] lots of different shapes that work on [different] types of bodies.”

According to Malabet, the company targets women between 28 and 50-years-old in the mid-to-high income bracket who “know their bodies and [want] to feel good about them […] They are looking for a brand that takes care of them and for [swimwear] that makes them feel great, stylish, feminine and comfortable.”

She described Estivo’s future as “looking bright,” with a expansion of the brand’s distribution in coming years both nationally internationally through the opening of monobrand stores and partnerships with distributors. The company currently operates three monobrand stores in Medellin and Bogota, Colombia.

In addition to swimwear, Estivo produces lingerie, accessories, sleepwear, and home and beauty products.
