Shirley of Hollywood is gearing up to ship Olivia by Shirley this September, its new line of packaged lingerie inspired by the sensual art of Olivia de Berardinis introduced at this April’s ILS. The initial collection encompasses 25 styles available in one-size-fits-most, consisting of “unique” bodysuits with “fun” trims and accents, stocking and glove sets, complete bedroom sets that include sheer jackets, strappy side panties, stockings and gloves, and much more. Wholesale prices start at $9.75.

According to Eric Schlobohm, director of international sales for Shirley of Hollywood, the company is extremely excited about its new division. “Olivia’s world famous erotic pinup art has been in books, calendars and posters, and we are so thrilled to connect with her and her husband/partner Joel,” he said. “We have always been a leader in sensuous lingerie, and this will be the first partnership of its kind, as we recreate provocative art as luxurious lingerie for women all over the world.

“[Since launching the initial collection at ILS] our [phones] have been ringing off the hook, [with customers asking]; where can I get the goods, when can I get the goods? What truly sets this collection apart is the incredible art and packaging. As a bonus each package will contain a frameable 5 by 7-inch piece of Olivia’s art.”

He named the Jet Set Net, a sheer body stocking with mock button accents and gloves, and the Snapdragon, a ribbon tie top with matching garter belt, stockings and gloves, as standout styles in Olivia by Shirley. The company plans to introduce the division’s second line at the April 2011 ILS.

The company has also been hard at work on its Shirley Holiday catalog, slated to ship during the first week of August, featuring new models, more than 100 styles and “something fun from each of our labels,” Schlobohm said. In stand-out styles, he named the all-over sequin corset in red and plum colorways in the Platinum collection, the embroidered sequin underwire babydoll in Intimate Attitudes “and some very fun novelty items” in Gyz.
