Cotton Club recalls past styles

(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Michèle Krchov, president of Fort Knox Lingerie, the importer of Italian brand Cotton Club in the U.S. market, was reminded of the styles of yesteryear when she saw the brand’s fall 2010 sleepwear collection, with its cotton modal pieces with wool embroidery and cashmere.

“I was very happy when I received my Cotton Club sleepwear sample,” she said. “I had not seen this wool embroidery in ages. It reminded me of the sleepwear by the very exclusive brand, Gemma, from my hometown of Lyon, France that my parents were importing 25 years ago. A lot of sleepwear manufacturers are making the same styles over and over again these days, and it is very refreshing that Cotton Club is putting something different out there.”

Styles include gowns wholesaling for $150 to $190, as well as robes, bed jackets and cashmere loungewear. U.S. specialty retailers carrying Cotton Club include Patricia Goulet in Greenwich, Conn., La Petite Coquette in New York City, Cara’s Boutique in Los Angeles and Complements in Bridgehampton, NY, among others.

fishbelly enters lounge/sleep

Fishbelly is trying its hand at loungewear and sleepwear. The German wholesaler, best known for its lingerie designed by Jutta Teschner, has introduced its first collection of loungewear and sleepwear; known respectively as homewear and nightwear in Europe. Styles are available immediately for an average of 100 Euros, equivalent to approximately $123 at the current exchange rate.

Included in the loungewear and sleepwear selection are dressing gowns and nightgowns, as well as cushions, sleep masks and cosmetic bags, all constructed from jersey material. The collection is inspired by the Rococo art of the 18th century, characterized by the painters of that time “[who] had a passion for using delicate colors and curving forms, along with cherubs and myths of love,” according to Fishbelly.
