(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Elle Macpherson Intimates, known on the market for its lacy, fashion-driven designs and vibrant colors, is exploring basics. The company will show Bare and Bold, its first collection of T-shirt bras in subdued shades of black, white and nude for spring/summer 2011, at next month’s CurveNY, as a compliment to its main lingerie line.
Styles include boost contour, underwire and strapless bras retailing for $55, with seamless matching bikinis, shorts and thongs retailing for $28. Sizes run from 32 through 36, A through DD for the boost contour and strapless bras, while the underwire bra starts at B cup. Both and bottoms are available with and without lace trim.
The company reported that it developed Bare and Bold because consumers who normally wear Elle Macpherson Intimates’ fashion lingerie were requesting smooth cup options.
“I wanted to ensure this collection was functional and comfortable under clothes while still being desirable,” Elle Macpherson, creative director of the company, said. “Lingerie is an emotional purchase for women even when it comes to the T-shirt bra. The fit, style and look must be perfect. Bare and Bold offers the ultimate silhouette regardless of the silhouette you choose.”
The company will also show the rest of its spring/summer 2011 line at CurveNY.
