(Filed Under wholesale Shapewear News). Squeem is experiencing rapid growth with Ashley Stewart, a chain specializing in plus-sized women’s fashion.
After testing the shapewear label’s Miracle Vest style in five New York and New Jersey stores at the end of May, this August Ashley Stewart introduced the style in 20 additional locations.
Thiago Pasos, vice president of marketing for Squeem, reported that the two companies plan to introduce the style in 100 total Ashley Stewart stores by the end of the year. The Miracle Vest, which is part of Squeem’s Classic collection, is available in black, and retails for $72.50. It runs in sizes XS through 5XL.
Pasos and his team see this collaboration as beneficial to both companies. “We have seen great results with retailers that target the same niche market as Ashley Stewart, and I think it’s due to our signature fit and styling. No other products out there offer the results that we do,” he said. “Our Control Fit technology, which is a fabric technology developed by us, creates a dynamic, high compression on the body of the wearer, reducing inches off the waistline immediately.
“It will also help with long-term benefits, such as remodeling the waistline, improving posture and assisting in weight loss. The combination of immediate results and long-term benefits is definitely in tune with retailers that target the plus-sized customer. It will create a great buzz for the brand and the retailer.
Fashion to Figure, [a NY-based retailers of plus-sized women’s apparel] and one of our most valued partners, is doing an astonishing job with our products. We believe that if Ashley Stewart follows the same path, they will also be very successful.”
