The brand will host a worldwide launch party for the collection, slated to be released at Paris’ Salon de Lingerie tradeshow, scheduled for January 22 through 24, 2011. Baci Lingerie will also be the main sponsor of the show, which it called the largest and most prestigious lingerie show globally.
The new Black Label collection will encompass approximately 550 styles, designed to offer elegantly designed, European chic lingerie at prices that Baci Lingerie described as the lowest in the world: with hosiery wholesaling from 99 cents to $1.99; panties from 99 cents to $2.99; bras from $1.99 to $3.49; and sets from $3.99 to $6.99. These prices are the same as those for Baci’s introductory collection.
According to Robert Rosen, C.O.O. of Baci Lingerie, offering a variety of well-designed, high-quality lingerie, accompanied by the best photographs, works of art and packaging at the most affordable pricing is the brand’s philosophy. “We want a wide range of women to experience the feeling of putting on extremely sexy lingerie for their man, and for men to experience the excitement of buying and fantasizing their ladies in such lingerie,” he said. “We want to give the world affordable luxury. With the combination of our first and second collections there will be a style of lingerie for every woman in the world.”
But although Baci keeps customer prices low, executives spend as much money as necessary to accomplish their vision for the brand. “Our first year investment of $25 million will definitely be surpassed as we currently have a budget of $35 million to introduce or Black Label collection,” Rosen said. “This collection is what the world has been waiting for and will revolutionize the lingerie industry. In the past, many lingerie companies have designed great lingerie; however, they sold it at prices that only a few people can buy.
“Baci Lingerie’s second Black Label collection will provide this very elegant and highly intricately-designed lingerie to a greater number of people by providing low-priced products that contribute to helping more people feel better about their lives. Most lingerie companies do the exact opposite and try to make the most beautiful lingerie for the most expensive price. We are revolutionary in the sense that no one has made high-quality, beautiful lingerie for a low price. There is really a need in the industry and we feel that we are creating an entire new category of highly elegant, well-designed lingerie of a very inexpensive price.”
The company will display the second collection in its signature collection books. In addition to releasing 1,000 lifestyle shots of the collection, 500 videos of the collection will be released in the same manner as the first collection. An Italian production team conducted the photo shoots in castles throughout England, France and Germany at the total cost of $5 million.
