(Filed Under wholesale Hosiery News). Mayfair Tech, the Toronto-based company that produces ShaToBu (an acronym for Shape, Tone, Burn), says it is bringing calorie burning to tights.
The brand, launched by chiropractor Dr. Denise Perron earlier this year with two styles intended to burn calories as the wearer goes about her daily activities, has introduced a shaping tight, a high waist shaping tight and a footless shaping tight, retailing from $34 to $38. They run in sizes S through 2X, and are available in shades of black, brown and steel.
According to the company, the new tights provide the same shaping, toning and calorie-burning as its original two products, which independent researchers from the University of Virginia found to burn up to 12 percent more calories as a woman goes about her everyday activities, MayFair reported. The opaque styles are designed with Lycra and a non-binding waistband.
“ShaToBu can provide women with another strategy to burn extra calories and live a healthier lifestyle overall,” Dr. Perron said. “By incorporating resistance band technology into the garment, the ShaToBu shaping tight makes muscles work a little harder and more calories are burned in that extra effort.”
The ShaToBu Shaping Tight is available immediately on BareNecessities.com, Blissworld.com and Dillards.com, as well as through the brand’s website, ShaToBu.com.
MayFair Tech is an affiliate of Montreal-based Doris Hosiery Mills that was established to manufacture the ShaToBu brand.
