(Filed Under wholesale Hosiery News). The International Legwear Group (ILG) has added Jim Williams and Brey Williams, both formally of Gold Toe, to its executive team.
Jim Williams, the company’s new C.E.O., worked as president and C.E.O for Gold Toe Brands for 20 years. He left in 2008 when the Blackstone Group acquired the company and it merged with Moretz Hosiery, becoming GoldToeMoretz. During his 40-year career in the legwear and related industries, he was also chairman of the board for Maidenform and the Hosiery Association.
Brey Williams, who ILG has hired as chief marketing officer, most recently served as president of sales for GoldToeMoretz, and previously was the executive vice president of national accounts for Gold Toe Brands. According to ILG, he has 15 years of experience in the hosiery business, specializing in marketing, merchandising and sales.
Scott Andrews, chairman of the ILG board of directors, said he expects these appointments to leverage ILG’s position in the hosiery industry following its return to financial stability. “In joining Kathy Willis, ILG’s president who engineered the company’s financial turnaround three years ago, ILG now has the industry’s most experienced and successful leadership across all facets of the hosiery industry […] With the addition of Jim and Brey, we now have a world class team to leverage our manufacturing platform and return ILG to industry prominence.”
