(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). When it comes to opulence, Damaris is not holding back for the upcoming spring/summer season.
The British lingerie maker is aiming for romance, glamour and a touch of theatricality with its Damaris collection, consisting of bras; knickers; bodysuits; suspenders; slips; and vests, many embellished with gold studs and Swarovski crystals, available in sizes 32 to 36, B through D. Not for the faint of finances, the SS 2011 collection wholesales from £25 for a bowtie to £157 for the black lace long slip; equivalent to approximately $39 to $249 at the current exchange rate. Bras wholesale from $45 to $60; equivalent to about $71 to $95.
The company’s Mimi Holliday line opens its lingerie up to a more varied consumer base, with bras running in sizes 28 to 34, AA through GG, and 36, AA through E. Wholesale prices are also more accessible than the Damaris label; from £12 for a suspender to £35.50 for a white lace and satin slip; equivalent to about $19 to $56. Bras run from £17 to £20; about $26 to $32.
Signature looks in Mimi Holliday are silk satin slips, peep-back lace bodies; teddies; and back-bow panties. The hardware that probably drives Damaris’ price point up is absent.
U.S. retailers carrying Damaris include Journelle in New York City and Miami and Nancy Meyer in Seattle, Wash. British retailers carrying the company’s brands include FigLeaves.com, Coco De Mer, Harvey Nichols; and Selfridges.
