(Filed Under Fashion News). PKFashions goals for 2009 are centered on continued expansion.

In fall 2008, the Canadian department store, the Bay, began carrying the company’s adhesive bra cups designed for bras and swimwear. Macy’s recently added Bikini Buddies for swimwear to the PK products that they already carry. In addition to continue growing within the US market, the company plans to start selling in stores worldwide this year.

“We sell all over the world through our website, but we want to also start selling our products in boutiques and department stores on an international level,” the company’s president, Paige K. Fortner, said, “Currently, we are in discussions with distributors in Japan, Australia and South Africa to make this happen.”

Fortner said that she has not seen a drop in sales despite the poor economy.

“JC Penny and Macy’s have already placed huge orders,” she said, “Women tend to buy our products for special events like weddings and proms, and so they are willing to spend the extra dollars. Even in tough times, women are not going to skimp for a special occasion.”
