(Filed Under Fashion News). Wisconsin-based Wigwam Mills, Inc. is sponsoring and outfitting John Hopf on his journey through the Appalachian Trail, a 2,175-mile hike.
Hopf has teamed up with the Hike4Water organization to create awareness and provide support to the people of developing countries who don’t have access to a basic human need: water.
“John is the quintessence of what Wigwam considers to be a warrior,” said Margaret Chesebro, field marketing manager of Wigwam Mills, Inc. “He is pushing himself to the limit and we are thrilled to be fitting him with reliable products that will help him successfully complete his adventure.”
Hopf comments on his excitement of wearing Wigwam socks during his journey: “when planning to take five million steps, I need to take care of my feet, so I wanted the best socks I could find. The socks are awesome.”
During Hopf’s hike, which begins March 22nd involving a five to seven month hike through 14 states, he will be faced with temperatures that can range from the low teens to well over 100 degrees. Therefore, Wigwam will be supplying him with the Weather Shield socks for the first couple cold months, the Lite Hiker Pro for mild months and Iron Man Fuel socks for the hot months.
Wigwam will be tracking Hopf’s adventure at their website.
