(Filed Under Event News). On Thursday, December 2, the Intimate Apparel Square Club (IASC) threw its annual holiday party for the children at the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine at NYU Langone Medical Center in New York City.
Club members, the center’s rehabilitation therapy team and the children gathered at Rusk’s Horizon House recreation room. Gary Hughes, dressed as Santa Claus, and Joyce Barron, dressed as Mrs. Claus, handed out presents, while DJ Mouse spun pop tunes.
Later in the evening, club members moved onto Trattoria Alba on 34th Street. Norma Reinhardt Mascarotti, president of the IASC, presented the funds raised at the November 3rd H.U.G. Awards. These funds are going to a variety of Rusk’s pedriatic services, overseen by Dr. Steven Flanagan, Dr. Joan Gold and Marianne Hardart.
During the latter part of the evening, Lucille DeHart, chief marketing officer of Maidenform Brands, congratulated club members and the RUSK team on behalf of H.U.G. honoree and Maidenform C.E.O Maurice Reznik. Roslyn Harte presented Edgar Trinidad, the IASC’s public relations advisor, with the 2010 Al Jaffin Award in recognition of his service to the club since 2007.
