(Filed Under Financial and General Interest News). Sears Holdings Corporation announced Tuesday that it has hired Lana Cain Krauter as SVP and president of apparel for the Sears brand.
Krauter will begin her employment at the Sears San Francisco apparel offices on February 1. She will be responsible for the oversight, leadership and growth of the retailer’s in-store and online apparel business.
She most recently worked as president and chief merchandising officer for Bealls Department Stores Inc. in Bradenton, Fla. She has also held senior level positions with J.C. Penney Company Inc., Goody’s Family Clothing and Sears-owned Roebuck and Co., where she oversaw intimate apparel, accessories, women’s ready to wear and imports.
“I am excited to add such an accomplished leader to our apparel team,” said Bruce Johnson, interim C.E.O and president of Sears Holdings. “Under John’s [John Goodman, EVP of apparel and home] we are transforming our softlines business. Additionally, were continuing to attract high caliber talent to the company who are focused on satisfying the customer.”
Sears Holdings is the fourth largest broadline retailer in the United States, with about 3,900 full-line and specialty retail stores throughout North America under the Sears, Kmart and Roebuck and Co. subsidiaries.
