Iconix’ Mossimo To Hit India

(Filed Under Financial and General Interest News). Iconix Brand Group Inc. has entered into a direct-to-retail licensing agreement with Arvind Limited for its Mossimo brand in India, marking its entrance in the country.

Arvind, a wholesaler, retailer and distributor, now holds the exclusive license to manufacturer and distribute Mossimo products throughout India, and is expected to introduce the brand in its 170 franchised and owned stores this year. Iconix-owned Mossimo is exclusive to Target stores in the United States, and includes apparel, accessories and swimwear. The brand is also available in freestanding stores in Australia and department stores in Latin America and Japan.

“India is an exciting new frontier for Iconix as we continue to roll out our portfolio of brands throughout the world,” said Neil Cole, chairman and C.E.O of Iconix. “India’s growing middle class has a preference for American brands and retail outlets are quickly developing, making this a prime time for expansion into the marketplace.”
