(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). This weekend Samantha Chang will host the Boutique Lingerie show is Los Angeles' Gerry Building. Running from Friday the 17th, through Monday the 20th, the show will bring together close to twenty designer brands for one of the last markets of the season.
"I think that a lot of buyers have been putting off turning in orders and everyone is discouraged," said Chang. "It seems like there is a little bit of air to breath and that buyers will finally be putting their pens to paper." Chang is also optimistic about this weekend's show due to the recent rise in the stock market. "The market is a little better this week and I hope it will last," she said. "But it's hard to say. You can't predict anything."
New to the Boutique Lingerie show this year are Belabumbum, French Can Can, Pfiff and Else Lingerie. Chang has also become the rep for Else Lingerie, a line of bras, panties and bridal corsets made in Turkey. The line is made from French lace and Italian silk. "It's the solution to the bad economy," she said. "From Else, you get novelty at a basic price point." Wholesale prices range from $17 for panties to $115 for corsets.
Additional brands at the show include: Lavit, Ed Hardy Intimates, Barbara, Dana Pisarra, Huit, L Straps, Vivis, Dore Dore, Caro, Poet, Gilsa, Hope Lingerie, Dream by Samantha Chang and Lelo.
