(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Baci Lingerie announced Monday the official worldwide launch of its Black Label collection, which the company will exhibit at the Salon de la Lingerie tradeshow, taking place from January 22 through 24 at Paris’ Porte de Versailles.
Baci Lingerie said it spent more than three years developing Black Label and invested over $20 million “to redefine what affordable luxury truly means.”
“As the main sponsor of the Salon de la Lingerie show we felt that this is the perfect platform for us to launch our Black Label collection and display it to the world,” said Robert Rosen, C.O.O of Baci Lingerie. “There is no better venue to introduce our revolutionary new collection than at the biggest lingerie show in the world where all the top companies and brands will be.
“Our second collection had a total budget of $20 million and will include over 500 new styles of beautifully and sophisticatedly designed lingerie. The Black Label collection will have a high-end, lingerie-styled theme, similar to European chic style, for 95 percent lower prices than other brands such as La Perla and Agent Provocateur. We designed the Black Label collection to create an entirely new category of lingerie. This new category of extremely high-end, designer lingerie for extremely low prices will definitely revolutionize the industry.”
Following the same concept as its first collection, during the photoshoot Baci Lingerie shot each Black Label style in its own setting with front and back pictures, as well as video. This resulted in 1,100 photos and 550 videos.
Rosen called the photoshoot the most expensive of its kind. “Just for the photo retouching we invested more than 5,000 hours. The shooting alone had a budget of over $5 million plus printing costs of $3 million for the 50,000 Black Label collection books, which weigh over 6 kilograms,” he said. “Managed by a globally acclaimed Italian production team which included the best photographers in the world, the $5,000,000 Million Dollar photo shoot was held throughout three extravagant castles in Southern Germany, UK and France.”
