(Filed Under Fashion News). The Adam & Eve store at 5001 N. 10th St. in McAllen, Tex. closed at the end of the year but plans to reopen at a new location, according to Nolan Williams, director of franchise store development for Adam & Eve Stores.
Williams said that the McAllen store performed well, and Adam & Eve expects it to re-open shortly in a space near the previous setting. Location details are still being finalized.
Williams also reported that the end of 2010 was robust for Adam & Eve, with six new stores opened since August. “We hope McAllen re-opens quickly, and expect 2011 to be an excellent year for Adam & Eve franchise stores,” he said.
Among the new locations is one at 6919 W. Fairview Ave. in Boise, marking this franchisee's third Idaho store. In September, the new Spokane, Wash. store opened at 3609 N. Division St.
In October, Adam & Eve's Montana franchisee opened its third store at 416 Central Ave in the downtown historical district of Great Falls.
Myrtle Beach, SC got its first Adam & Eve store at 780 Oak Forest Ln. in November. December saw store openings at 255 N. Equity Drive, in Smithfield, NC, and 17531 Tomball Parkway/Hwy 249 in Houston, Tex.
