(Filed Under Wholesale Swimwear News). Frank Waks, executive vice president of Parisa USA, sees the company’s licensing partnership with Natori Inc. as a continuation of its entrance in the branded market.
“[Parisa’s] A.Ché brand has achieve great success in distribution and retail over the last year and a half,” Waks said about the traditionally private label-focused swimwear company. “I think [the licensing agreement to produce Natori swimwear] will expand us further into the branded marketplace.”
Although price points have not yet been set for the Natori swimwear collection, which will launch at this July’s Miami Swimshow, Waks said that it will be “competitively priced within the better market” as Parisa specializes in making affordable swimwear. It will run in standard sizes to target the better missy customer, and will hit the department stores that carry Natori, such as Saks, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s and Dillard’s.
Other features of the line will be the cup sizing Parisa specializes in and the prints and details that define Natori. According to Waks, Natori Inc. has given Parisa the license to produce swimwear under all of its brands.
Natori and Parisa entered into the licensing agreement in December.
