Thibeaux said that the relatively young company is doing "quite well" despite the recession.

"So far sales are definitely better than what I thought they would be," she said, "Men need shapewear, but they are wary of it. I think they are attracted to our brand because our products look like traditional underwear and contain very little spandex, so they are not embarrassed to wear them."

The company plans to expand the sizes they offer sometime this year "depending on how much request we get for this." Currently they carry sizes M-XXL. They expect to launch their Jimmy boxer-brief this spring or summer, as well as new tops for fall 2009.
