(Filed Under wholesale Hosiery News). Tapout, a mixed martial arts brand owned by Authentic Brands Group, announced Wednesday that it has signed a multi-year partnership with PS Brands, LLC to produce a line of socks.
Under the agreement, PS Brands—which makes products under Planet Sox, Candy Girl and licensed labels—will manufacturer and distribute Tapout-inspired socks. The introductory collection will hit U.S. retailers for spring, and will encompass men, women and children’s designs that “capture the graphic look of the brand’s heritage.”
“Tapout is the dominant brand in MMA—a global sport with explosive growth,” said Eli Levy, C.E.O of PS Brands. “Developing and distributing a product line that enhances the brand’s position in an emerging marketplace and embodies the brand’s competitive spirit is a thrilling endeavor.”
From the license, the companies expect to generate $6 million in sales during 2011.
PS Brands also holds the licenses for Fila, Coleman, Esprit, and is the sock licensee for Disney, Nickelodeon and Mattel.
