(Filed Under Fashion News). Peekay Inc. is partnering once again with local branches of Planned Parenthood to promote National Condom week, which begins today and ends of February 21.
Peekay’s Lovers stores in Washington state will donate five cents of each condom sold this week to Planned Parenthood of the Greater Northwest. The company’s A Touch of Romance and ConRev stores in southern California will make the same contribution to Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino counties.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Planned Parenthood once again,” said Phyllis Heppenstall, founder of Peekay. “Planned Parenthood’s mission to advocate public policies guaranteeing individual rights and providing educational programs aligns with what is important to us as a company and as people.”
Stephanie Knight, senior vice president of community affairs for Planned Parenhood of Orange/San Bernardino, agreed. “National Condom Week is the perfect time to remind people about the importance of making smart decisions about one’s health,” she said. “We’re grateful for Peekay’s partnership and support for our shared goals of keeping our community safe and healthy.”
Last year, Peekay donated over $2,800 to Planned Parenthood and other organizations from National Condom Week. The company hopes to donate at least 10 percent more this year.
