(Filed Under wholesale Activewear News). Last Wednesday, Adidas opened its first women-specific store in Seoul, Korea in order to target this growing customer base.
The activewear company— which sells a range of fitness products including sports bras, apparel and sneakers—said the store offers a personal, enjoyable experience through customer service as well as a soft color palette, clean lines and focus on detail.
“The new store concept designed especially for our female clients shows Korean consumers how much the brand cares and the importance of following the market tendencies,” said Zion Armstrong, managing director of Adidas Korea. “The women’s business is growing day by day and Adidas Korea is excited to open the first Adidas women’s store with a totally new concept that will definitely be a trendsetter.”
Adidas Korea carries the company’s new seamless underwear line, as well as new styles in the golf, gym yoga, gym studio and tennis lines. Also found is the Adidas by Stella McCartney collection.
According to Adidas, the store’s staff includes training and fitness experts who offer shoppers advice on achieving their fitness goals and the appropriate styles for different sports. The store is also working to establish a training and fitness community with training workshops and style sessions, information on local workout classes and gym partners, seasonal special offers and product previews.
The Adidas Women’s and Adidas by Stella McCartney ranges are part of the Sport Performance division. The company also makes merchandise under the Sport Style range, and currently operates 599 stores worldwide, including 19 in the United States.
