(Filed Under Financial and General Interest News). Abercrombie & Fitch Inc. is being criticized for selling a padded bikini for girls, FoxNews.com reported Friday.
According to Fox, the top, called the Ashley and available through Abercrombie Kids, is marketed toward girls as young as eight.
The Ashley has been reduced to $18.38 from $24.50 on AbercrombieKids.com, and runs in sizes S through XL. The site describes it as offering “padded, classic fit.” However, it does not specify what age group the top is intended for. Matching bottoms have been marked down to $14.63 from $19.50.
