(Filed Under retail Lingerie News). Lille Boutique, a high-end lingerie and swimwear shop in Portland, Ore., is partnering with clothing boutique Frances May to throw an event for designer Victoria Barlett’s label Visible Panty Line ("VPL").

The event will be held next Thursday, May 12 from 12pm to 8pm at the Ace Hotel, located at 403 SW 10 Avenue in Portland. It will comprise a fall 2011 trunk show and spring 2011 sale from 12 to 6, followed by a cocktail hour and "meet and greet" session with Barlett until 8pm.

According to Lille Boutique, Barlett is well-known for challenging traditional concepts of sexiness in underwear, which began when launched her first collection of undergarment-inspired styles under the VPL label in fall 2003. "[She] had a vision to design a capsule collection to fill the niche between lingerie and sportswear," Lille said. "As a stylist, Victoria acknowledged the growing demand for utilitarian yet stylish undergarments that can be mixed, matched and layered [...] She challenged the fashion world with an innovative conception of sexy."

In other news, Lille Boutique will open the doors to its second location, Lille’s Trousseau, at 1124 SW Alder St., also next Thursday. The retailer will throw the grand opening party next Friday, May 12 at 6pm, which will be open to the public. Lille’s flagship store is located at 1007 East Burnside St.

For further information, contact Lille Boutique by calling (503) 232-0333, or e-mailing owner Sarah Wizeman at Sw@LilleBoutique.com.
