(Filed Under Financial and General Interest News). U.S. clothing manufacturer and retailer American Apparel received a subpoena from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California. The complaint, disclosed in a regulatory filing, contains allegations from a former employee regarding transfer pricing and foreign currency transactions. The complaint was filed November 2010 with the Occupational Safety & Health Administration.
In the filing, American Apparel said that "the company intends to fully cooperate with this subpoena." The company is currently involved in other employment-related claims, including sexual harassment lawsuits, and stated that management "believes all such claims against the company are without merit."
