(Filed Under Wholesale Swimwear News). Florida-based Rockstar Swimwear combines high-fashion aesthetics with a rock ’n’ roll attitude to create its unique line of sexy swimwear for men and women.
For 2012, Rockstar is premiering three women’s swimwear collections — Lilith, Rock Goddess and Rock Royalty — as well as a six-piece men’s line at the SwimShow in Miami on July 16. Men’s styles feature bold color combinations and patterns with a wholesale price range of $22 to $32 and a suggested retail range of $44 to $69.
According to designer Natasha Tanbakushi, the 2012 women’s collections were inspired by pin-up model Bettie Page’s progression from innocent sexuality to erotica and are aimed at consumers with fierce inner beauty and self-confidence who are seeking bold and elegant designs. The Lilith collection — named for a dark goddess — as well as the Rock Goddess collection include mix-and-match tops and bottoms in bold black and solid vibrant colors with a wholesale price range of $20 to $40 and a suggested retail price range of $40 to $85. Rock Royalty suits are sold and priced as sets. One-piece suits wholesale for $90 and bikinis for $135, with suggested retail prices of $185 and $275 respectively. All suits come in sizes XS to L.
All four collections feature imported Italian four-way stretch lycra and are manufactured in the United States. Products ship from the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area with a $500 minimum order for retailers.
Rockstar Swimwear is currently sold in U.S. boutiques and online retailers and has contributed a capsule collection exclusive to Macy’s.
