Wacoal Launches U.S. Online Boutique

(Filed Under retail Lingerie News). Leading intimate apparel manufacturer Wacoal has launched an online store targeting petite and slender-framed women in the United States.

The site, Wacoal World, will feature a variety of styles created by Wacoal designers across the world, from New York and Los Angeles to the company’s headquarters in Japan. U.S. shoppers will only be able to find these exclusive styles on the Wacoal World website.

Wacoal, a popular brand in Asia, prides itself on creating beautiful lingerie for slender and petite Asian physiques. The company realized that U.S. shoppers with similar body types may also want to be acquainted with a brand that understands and can accommodate their shape and size. Wacoal World’s debut pieces will focus on some key styles from Wacoal Japan, including the Lalan Ribbon Push-Up Bra, an embroidered feminine floral style featuring a specially designed lace front panel that secures and uplifts the bust. Wacoal America’s popular Embrace Lace Petite Underwire Bra is also available on the site. Different international collections will be added in fall 2011.

Wacoal officials stated that they hope U.S. women will love how the bras, panties, shapewear, and other intimate apparel found in these international collections fit and feel. "Launching Wacoal World is another milestone for the brand bringing intimate apparel from across the globe to the U.S. consumer’s front door," stated Bob Vitale, executive vice president of marketing and sales for Wacoal America. "We are excited to share Wacoal’s international collections and continue our promise of offering women intimate apparel with superior quality, comfort and fit."

Bras on Wacoal World are currently retailing for $35 to $65, with bottoms retailing for $7 to $31. Shipping is available across the United States. The site is found at www.wacoalworld.com.
