(Filed Under retail Lingerie News). Singer and fashion icon Madonna along with her daughter Lola are expanding their Material Girl brand, adding intimates, sleepwear and beauty products for fall 2011.
The brand, offered through Iconix Brand Group exclusively at Macy’s, is also adding to its existing denim, party dress and outerwear collections aimed at women in their teens and early 20s. Macy’s is expanding the brand as well — Material Girl will be offered in 300 stores, up from 200 at its launch in August 2010.
Intimates are retailing from $5 to $29 and include solid, polka-dot, lace and rose-print push-up bras, cami bras, soft bras, bandeaus, bustiers, thongs, bikini briefs, hipsters and boyshorts, generally accommodating bra sizes 32 to 38, A to D and panty sizes S to L. Sleepwear items include tank tops, tunics, sweatshirts, boxers and lounge pants in sizes XS to L retailing for $14 to $22.
New products are set to hit Macy’s stores and Macys.com on August 15.
